TRUCO PAULISTA

The Paulista Twelve Point Gambit is a strategic card game where you play Truco against an AI opponent, combining classic card strategy with roguelike progression. Reach 12 points before your opponent to win, using bluffing, betting, and tactical card plays.

Controls:

• Keys 1, 2, 3: Play one of your three cards in hand
• T: Call Truco to raise the stakes of the current round
• A: Accept the opponent's Truco challenge
• E: Raise the bet even higher after opponent calls Truco
• R: Fold and concede the current round
• P: Pause the game
• Enter: Start a new game or resume from results screen

Gameplay Tips:

• The first card dealt (vira) determines the trump suit (manilha). Cards of this suit beat all others, so remember which suit is trump.
• Pay attention to the bet ladder showing 1, 3, 6, 9, 12 points. Each time someone calls Truco, the stakes increase along this ladder.
• You play three rounds (vagas) per hand. Win at least two rounds to win the hand and earn points.
• Bluff strategically by playing weak cards early to make opponents think you have nothing, then play strong cards when it matters most.
• Know when to fold. If the opponent raises the bet and you have weak cards, folding saves you from losing more points than the hand is worth.
