Red Planet Frontier Initiative

Red Planet Frontier Initiative is a Mars colony builder where you establish and expand a self-sustaining habitat on the Red Planet. Your goal is to support 12 colonists with stable life support systems for 3 consecutive sols before sol 25 ends, while managing resources and surviving harsh Martian conditions.

Controls:

• Number keys 1–6: Select building modules to construct
• Drag mouse: Rotate and move the colony view around the planet
• Scroll wheel: Zoom in and out to see your colony
• Speed button: Adjust simulation speed
• Pause button: Pause the mission clock and gameplay
• Sound button: Toggle audio on and off

Gameplay Tips:

• Place new structures adjacent to your existing colony—isolated modules cannot function
• Monitor your six vital resources: colonists, supplies, oxygen, water, food, and power. All must stay above zero or your mission fails
• Build a balanced mix of life support modules, resource extractors, and habitats to achieve self-sufficiency
• Watch the weather forecast and prepare for dust storms that can damage your colony
• Plan ahead: you have only 25 sols to reach your goal, so prioritize modules that generate oxygen, water, and food early
